Validity and Practicality of PBL-SSI E-Module on Ecology and Biodiversity Topic for Junior High School

Teaching materials, as one of the main media in the learning process, are required to follow the increasingly rapid development of technology. So that E-module teaching materials need to be developed to improve students' understanding and learning outcomes. Developing teaching materials in the form of E-modules based on PBL integrated with Socio-Scientific Issues allows students' learning experiences to be more interesting and efficient. This experience allows students to understand the material better. Based on this, R&D research with the 4D Model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) was conducted to develop E-module teaching materials based on PBL integrated with Socio-Scientific Issues on the material of ecology and biodiversity for junior high schools that are valid and practical. The research instruments consisted of teacher interview sheets, student questionnaires, validity analysis questionnaires, and practicality analysis questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed using a formula to analyze the results of the validity and practicality analysis. The results showed that the developed e-module based on PBL integrated with SSI had a validity level in the very valid category with an average of 90%. The level of practicality in the very practical category with an average of 96%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the science learning e-module based on PBL integrated with SSI on the Ecology and Biodiversity material has met the valid and practical categories.
