Pengaruh Penerapan Model Interactive Conceptual Instruction (ICI) terhadap Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik Kelas VII di SMPN 34 Padang

Low student learning outcomes are often caused by conventional learning processes that focus on teachers, making students passive and have difficulty understanding and applying scientific concepts. This research aims to evaluate the influence of the Interactive Conceptual Instruction (ICI) learning model on the learning outcomes of class VII students at SMPN 34 Padang, especially on material classification and substance changes. The type of research used is Quasi Experimental with a Posttest Only Control Group Design. The sample consists of two classes: the experimental class which applies the ICI model and the control class. Data were analyzed statistically using Microsoft Excel. The results show that the average score of the experimental class is 77 higher than the control class of 65. The t test shows Tcount of 5.303, which is greater than Ttable of 1.998, indicating a significant difference between the two classes. The implementation of the ICI model was stated to be good with a percentage of 98%, and the student response to this model was 94% positive. The conclusion of the research is that there is a significant influence of the application of the ICI model on student learning outcomes in the material studied.
